Sweet decadence

Daria Dembicka

The project is the result of the search for forms of props that would smoothly change their function on the border between footwear and accessory. The collection is inspired by dance, musicals and especially burlesque. It also draws on the importance of colours and important symbols in culture, particularly those found in popular and dance culture. It focuses on finding multiple functions for a given object by scaling it andusing different technology to realize it. The design is a combination of 3D printing and other technologies, such as silver castings, metalwork.

Daria Dembicka- a young fashion designer specializing in the design and production of accessories, jewelry, shoes and clothing. She combines in an eclectic way sweet and feminine, as well as sharp and bitter aesthetics. She's mainly inspired by the film and theatre industry, dance, pop culture, feminism, symbols, ballroom culture and her own experiences. It's very important for her to design in the idea of upcycling and multifunctionality of the object and to constantly expand her skills with new technologies and to develop in new and previously unknown areas. In addition, her great passion is photography and film.
