Mimesis

The collection is an analysis of the relationship between man and nature. It interprets the characteristic features of selected elements of nature which build a library of inspiration for designed forms, textures and colors. Mimesis, or imitation of reality in art, is a key concept, nature provides a form of matrix for silhouettes that are interpretations of their prototypes. In order to achieve the uncovered qualities, fabrics were creased, repeatedly stitched, dyed or draped. Instead of illustrating nature through clothing, the goal is to synthesize and harmonize characteristics. Exposing imperfections and irregularities, the work is an expression of humility towards processes based on the cooperation of the "thinking hand" with nature. Interpreting reality through the medium of clothing becomes a way to understand the world around and the concept of mimesis is constantly evolving along with insights into subjective reality.

Designer of clothing, textiles and objects. In the design process, she focuses on experimentation and deep exploration, reaching for original techniques. Balancing between the new and the old, traditions and craftsmanship are combined with new aesthetics. Areas of interest include the "spaces in between," mysticism and nature, which she explores with her intuition, keeping in mind that the story and its character are as important as the final result. Leaving poetic understatement, moving the imagination and evoking deep human emotions by interweaving personal insights
