Zimny stół [back-table, designated area in the operating room where organs intended for transplantation are prepared before being implanted into the recipient.] The work aims to initiate reflection on how our relationship with medicine might look in the future. As access to information becomes increasingly widespread, the amount of disinformation, which can have serious consequences for public health, also grows. The author questions what will result from uncritically trusting health information found online and highlights how dangerous this can be, especially in the medical context. The work proposes the emergence of a Neo-Alchemy movement – desperate patients, exhausted by the lack of trust in conventional medicine, begin to treat themselves entirely on their own, based on information they gather themselves. The main part of the work is an artistic publication representing chaotically collected information necessary for practicing Neo-Alchemy. The rest of the installation references the "back table" – a term used in transplantology to describe the place where organs are prepared for transplantation.
